Light After Dark concert and silent auction on May 1
We're hosting our annual fundraising event Light After Dark at the Company House on May 1. This is the sixth year for this event and the proceeds help Avalon to continue our work with victims/survivors of sexualized violence. Statement on NSGEU registered nurses strike
In light of the current strike situation involving registered nurses with NSGEU Local 97, the Avalon Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program will be providing emergency service as usual. Avalon Sexual Assault Centre is not a supporter of the “Don’t Be That Girl” posters which have been circulated in Halifax. We strongly disagree with the messages of these posters and did not consent to our logo being used on them. We will look further into this matter.
