Draw the Line

Halifax Regional Police, Avalon Sexual Assault Centre and local universities partner to promote sexualized violence prevention in our communities. The partnership aims to create a dialogue around the role we each play, and to shift focus from the actions taken by victims of sexualized violence over to the actions of the accused. The Draw-the-Line campaign was created by the Ontario Coalition of Rape Crisis Centres (OCRCC) and Action ontarienne contre la violence faite aux femmes (AOcVF) to educate Ontarians on the pervasiveness of sexual violence and ways for them to create change. Later on, OCRCC and AOcVF collaborated with new partners to develop content speaking to specific issues or communities like White Ribbon (Canada).
