Avalon wins N.S. Human Rights Award

In recognition of International Human Rights Day, Avalon Sexual Assault Centre has been recognized as a provincial leader in human rights. Update: Girls Run the World

On Oct. 26, the Avalon Sexual Assault Centre co-hosted ‘Girls Run the World’, in celebration of International Day of the Girl. The day of creativity and empowerment for girls aged 10 to eighteen, featured hula hooping, poetry, screen-printing, dancing and kite-making. Local group supports Avalon with sci-fi screening
