Storm Notice: Office Closure.
Upon careful consideration of the safety of staff and clients due to varied poor road conditions and other challenges due to the weather Avalon Centre will remain closed today. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you require immediate services following a recent sexual assault call the Avalon SANE response line (902-425-0122). The line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Avalon office will open on tomorrow at 8:30 am

Language matters. Just think of rape jokes as the foundation of the pyramid of rape culture. If you take away the foundation then everything else will be a little bit less likely to take root and flourish.
